The Importance of Adult Systems of Support
Adult learners face unique challenges in pursuing higher education in a system that isn’t built for their specific needs. The Michigan Center for Adult College Success’ Diploma Equity Project is working to make higher education more equitable. Through Mott Community College, a focus on human interaction and meeting unique needs is reshaping how we think about adult learning. It’s putting goals within reach and fostering connection and empathy, generating a community of persistence in education.
What Evaluation Looks Like
To evaluate impact, Basis researchers are using survey and transcript data, quasi-experimental research design, and financial analysis. Preliminary findings show the design process successfully
